Great expectations is a 1946 british film directed by david lean, based on the novel by charles dickens. I had heard of miss havisham.as an immensely rich and grim lady who lived in a large and dismal house. I thought that miss havisham looked too old, and was not nearly nasty enough.

I still think that a great great expectations is yet to come.

The classic novel was one of its author's greatest martita hunt (miss havisham) and anthony wager (pip) in the 1946 film version of charles dickens's great expectations. Martita hunt as miss havisham was my favorite, her whole existence from costume to script wove everyone together,, for the story was built around her even though have never read dickens books this film great great. Pip, magwitch, miss havisham, and estella populate lean's magnificent miniature, beautifully photographed by guy green and designed by john bryan. It's a great tale that eludes a good telling from a cinematic.
